Program Educational Objectives:
Consistent with the stated mission of the Institution, the mission of the Electronics & Communication Engineering Department is to prepare its graduates for a rapidly changing technological field. The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering at Institute of Engineering & Technology embraces existing major program of Electronics & Communication Engineering. The curriculum is skillfully designed to maintain an assured quality and relevance of engineering education process. The lecture and laboratory courses offered by the department preserve a crucial balance between mastery of underlying theories and engineering principles, and an understanding of current technology and trends.  In the fields of Electronics & Communication Engineering, laboratory learning is a major component. The Department is well equipped with laboratories which cover all areas of Electronics & Communication Engineering ranging from Electronics and Digital Laboratories to Communication and Advanced Communication System as well as DSP & VLSI Design Laboratories. These laboratories have been developed to a high standard of design and safety, and provide an excellent environment for students to carry out their experimental works. Upon graduation, students will have the opportunity for careers in a wide and varied range of industries from state enterprises to private organizations. The faculty of the department of and Communication Engineering strives to educate and train the students in a technically sound and challenging manner in order to achieve the following Programme educational objectives: I. To provide students with solid foundation in Mathematics, Science and Engineering fundamentals to excel in undergraduates program and to succeed in technical profession. II. To inculcate the student’s professional and ethical attitude, effective communication skills ,team work skills, multidisciplinary approach and an ability to relate lifelong engineering issues to broader social context. III. To train students with good scientific and engineering breadth so as to comprehend, analyze, design and create novel products and solution for lifelong problems. IV. Graduates are better employable and achieve success in their chosen areas of Electronics and communication Engineering and related fields by applying engineering principles in solving problems and by designing, evaluating processes, systems. V. Graduates learn and adopt themselves to the constantly evolving technology to succeed in higher studies.
