As per the regulations of the West Bengal University of Technology and All India Council for Technical Education norms, an applicant for the admission to B.Tech Degree course must have passed or appeared in 10+2 (Higher Secondary or equivalent examination) with English and with 45% marks (40% for SC/ST/PwD/OBC candidates) in Physics and Mathematics (Compulsory) along with Chemistry/Biochemistry/Biology/Technical Vocational Subjects (Engineering Drawing/Computer Science) taken together for being eligible. If at the time of admission the results of 10 + 2 (Higher Secondary or equivalent examination) are not declared, the applicant has to give an undertaking that if he/she fails to pass the examination, he/she will withdraw his/her name from the Institution.
• Mode of Selection:
Admission to any course will be made on the basis of the merit list from the Joint Entrance Examination(JEE) for Engineering to be conducted by West Bengal Board of examination for admission to Engineering Degree Colleges or through merit list of All India Engineering Entrance Examination (A.I.E.E.E.) conducted by the Central Board of Higher Secondary Examination.
Selection for Post-Graduate Courses in Engineering (M.Tech) are done through GATE or entrance conducted by MAKAUT (WBUT) and personal interview.
